Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr. charged a Merrillville man with murder for beating a 36-year-old woman to death in her Winfield home last month.
Martinez confirmed Monday night that Raju K. Rawal, 65, was arrested for allegedly killing Haley Losinski in the 11000 block of Pike Place, west of Randolph Street.
Early on February 27 in the evening, Losinski's parents discovered her lifeless and battered body.
Losinski's head was bluntly injured in an autopsy on February 28. Police called her murderous.
